Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo has said Israel’s “tactics of starvation” in Gaza are “inadmissible” as he met UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini.

“Israel urgently needs to provide more humanitarian access to Gaza,” De Croo wrote on X.

He added that Belgium continued to support the UN refugee agency for Palestinians, which is “the backbone of aid to the people in Gaza”, and expressed his condolences for the killing of 160 UNRWA staff in Gaza.
